ENG
Through research and creation under open skies, multidisciplinary artist Amélie Courtois and indisciplinary poet Charles Sagalane explored ways of coming together naturally. Between them. In between. With the rest of the world.
For nearly two years, they travelled through landscapes of forest, lake and river, of culture, literature and inner life, gathering fragments of reality and welcoming that which cannot be gathered. Drawing on their myth of the “cataloger-gatherer,” the artists assembled a living, shifting and resonant repertoire that takes shape within the undefined contours of the exhibition Les unions naturelles (Natural Unions).
Working across a range of art forms, the two nomadic creators gave expression to the fertile, poetic connections that flow between gathering, journeys, encounters and transmission. In their daily practice, Amélie and Charles cultivate intuitive gestures with the insatiable curiosity of these who discover and the wonder of these who create.
