PRÉSENTATION DU PROJET

Pour le 6eme projet ARAMIS l’artiste Natalie BIRECKI (Saguenay-Pologne) et Langage Plus s’invitent dans une école de Saguenay. En investissant le milieu de vie de l’établissement, soit la classe, les corridors et la cafétéria, l’école secondaire Riverside devient, de mars à mai 2025, le théâtre de Food Opera.

Au fil d’une série de neuf ateliers, l’artiste et les élèves aborderont avec humour et par la recherche plastique, les paradoxes de notre société. En remontant le fil des procédés industriels à rebours, un certain retour aux sources s’opérera. 

En affinant notre sensibilité esthétique et en reconnectant à des savoir-faire ancestraux,  l’artiste souhaite disséquer et reconstruire notre rapport à la consommation et à la production. Par un processus de recherche à la fois ludique et méticuleux, BIRECKI amènera les élèves à exposer une nouvelle vérité, une autre réalité de l’objet. En cristallisant ce qui passe inaperçu et en offrant un nouveau regard sur l’ordinaire, ce projet invite à reconsidérer ce qui est habituellement invisible; la beauté des choses simples. En chargeant de préciosité, carottes et petits pois, le groupe cuisinera, ensemble, un faire-sens.

LA SUITE

Une exposition-témoin du projet verra le jour en janvier 2026 à Langage Plus ainsi qu’à la bibliothèque d’Arvida. En plus d’une capsule vidéo, une œuvre permanente est intégrée à l’école d’accueil et une publication papier retracera le projet.

Langage Plus tient à souligner la participation de l’équipe-école et des élèves de Riverside. Le programme Art Actuel en Milieu Scolaire | ArAMiS est possible grâce au soutien financier du Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec. Nous remercions également la ville de Saguenay de permettre le rayonnement de Food Opera dans la communauté de proximité, à la bibliothèque d’Arvida.

PRESENTATION

For the 6th ArAMiS project, artist Natalie BIRECKI (Saguenay-Poland) and Langage Plus are teaming up with a school in Saguenay. By immersing her project in the school’s environment, including the classroom, corridors, and cafeteria, Riverside High School will become, from March to May 2025, the stage for Food Opera.

Through a series of nine workshops, the artist and students will explore, with humor and through artistic research, the paradoxes of our society. By retracing the steps of industrial processes in reverse, a certain return to the roots will take place.

By refining our aesthetic sensitivity and reconnecting to ancestral craftsmanship / know-how, the artist aims to dissect and reconstruct our relationship to consumption and production. Through a playful yet meticulous research process, BIRECKI will guide the students to expose a new truth, an alternative reality of the object. By crystallizing what often goes unnoticed and offering a fresh perspective on the ordinary, this project invites us to reconsider what is usually invisible: the beauty of simple things. By imbuing carrots and peas with preciousness, the group will cook, together, creating make-sens.

THE FOLLOW-UP

A testimony exhibition of the project will take place in 2026 at Langage Plus and at the Arvida library. In addition to a video capsule, a permanent artwork will be integrated into the host school, and a printed publication will document the project.
